Bramley Apple - Light and stripes.

Bramley Apple - Light and stripes.

I was passing through the corridor of this apartment borrowed from a friend of mine, and I saw this beautiful curtain, so I decided to put Mesca in front of it.
With the histogram facility and the modern sensor of the Lumix S1 it’s easy to master a backlit subject without additional fill up lights.
Even the stripes are still visible on the fabric, making for a compelling composition.
The old Contax-Zeiss 85mm 2.8 lens made a fantastic job of keeping under control the harsh light coming directly from the window and kept a good contrast throughout the whole picture.
B&W pictures with these old lenses are something to behold!
We just shot few frames before moving on to the next room, pity I forgot to turn Mesca around, so we’re missing her compelling butt in this sequence, but you will see plenty of that if you keep following #BramleyApple.
Only much later I discovered this was the bedroom of my friend’s mother, and I was not supposed to go in at all… particularly with a naked girl.
Oops!
